This example can be a little bit initimidating on the front page of the docs - do we need all this code for x402 quote to work?

Agreed, the front-page example was doing too much. The SDK handles the challenge, signing, paid retry and receipt validation; most of the extra code checks client limits and preserves state for recovery and withdrawals.
Updated in 0fd042b: the quickstart now shows a clearly labelled 16-line SDK setup/request excerpt, with the full runnable examples and detailed recovery/withdrawal steps on a separate linked page. The downloadable script keeps its existing spending limits, receiver checks and saved state.
The site build, type checking, standalone example compilation and 19 local payment-policy checks pass. No payments were signed or sent.

| If a request times out or returns a settlement error, keep the state, signed attempt and transaction hash. A charge or deposit may have succeeded even without a quote response. Do not repeatedly rerun it or create another deposit; check the original transaction and use the SDK’s validated recovery. Each new successful request can incur another charge. |

Add an actionable procedure for an uncertain payment.
If the paid request times out, this section tells the reader to use “the SDK’s validated recovery” but does not show how to inspect or reconcile the saved attempt. The withdrawal steps also require the reader to resolve uncertain payments first. Add the specific SDK call or a step-by-step procedure, including how to determine whether the original payment was charged before sending another request. (x402.cow.fi)

Description
Add public documentation for buying CoW Protocol quotes through prepaid x402 payments and withdrawing unused funds. The quickstart explains the SDK flow with a short excerpt; a separate guide contains the complete runnable examples, recovery advice and withdrawal steps.
