fix(dash-spv)!: verify MnListDiff against its block's coinbase before applying - #1200
MnListDiffs were applied without checking anything, so a peer could inject quorum keys and get ChainLocks it signed itself accepted. Now the engine applies a diff only after MasternodeListValidator checks that:
the diff's merkle proof proves its coinbase in the stored block header;
the resulting list matches the masternode and quorum merkle roots in the coinbase payload.
Applies to single diffs, every diff of a QRInfo, and the replay of stored diffs. The ChainLock part of the issue was done in #1168.
Breaking: MasternodeList::has_valid_mn_list_root/has_valid_llmq_list_root are replaced by verify_coinbase_roots; SmlError gains two variants.

Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Masternode list updates are now checked against block coinbase proofs and commitments before they are accepted, helping prevent invalid or inconsistent lists from being stored.
Updates with malformed proofs, mismatched block data, or mismatched masternode or quorum commitments now return errors instead of being applied.
New Features
Partial Merkle trees can now be created from masternode list diffs.
The PR adds coinbase-proof and coinbase-commitment validation for MnListDiff application. It integrates optional validation into MasternodeListEngine, extends mock header storage with merkle roots, and adds tests for invalid proofs, commitment mismatches, and header-storage failures.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title names the main change: MnListDiff is now verified against its block's coinbase before it is applied. The raw summary confirms this. The validator checks the coinbase merkle proof against the stored header, and verify_coinbase_roots checks masternode and quorum roots against the coinbase payload before apply. The title also flags the breaking API change with '!', which matches the PR objectives. The title is short and specific, and it follows the conventional commit style.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #1117 is active and directly linked. MasternodeListValidator::validate_coinbase_proof checks the stored header hash and the MnListDiff coinbase proof. validate_coinbase_roots checks the resulting masternode and quorum roots against the coinbase payload. MasternodeListEngine applies these checks to single diffs, all QRInfo diffs, and stored-diff replay before it applies a list. The ChainLock path uses quorums with Verified status. Related tests cover root mismatches and header-storage failures.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes stay within issue #1117. The validator, Merkle-proof conversion, root verification, error variants, storage-error propagation, engine wiring, and related tests support validation before diff application. Snapshot and test-helper updates support the new validator construction. The validation bypass is restricted to test and test-utils builds.

… applying
A peer's MnListDiff applied without proving anything, so a malicious peer
could inject masternodes and quorums, and with them ChainLocks it signed
itself. The engine now applies a diff only once `MasternodeListValidator`
checks that its merkle proof proves its coinbase in the stored header, and
that the list it builds hashes to the masternode and quorum roots that
coinbase commits to. This covers single diffs and every diff of a QRInfo,
and the replay of stored diffs.
BREAKING CHANGE: `MasternodeList::has_valid_mn_list_root` and
`has_valid_llmq_list_root` are replaced by `verify_coinbase_roots`, and
`SmlError` gains `InvalidCoinbaseProof` and `CoinbaseCommitmentMismatch`.

… masternode list diff (#1204)
NOT SECURE, AND TEMPORARY. MasternodeListEngine keeps the coinbase
payload of the highest block an applied masternode list diff carried one
for, and exposes it as MasternodeListEngine::latest_coinbase() and
DashSpvClient::latest_coinbase(). Nothing authenticates it: neither the
diff's merkle proof of the coinbase nor the payload's merkle roots are
checked, and quorum verification does not gate it, so one peer can serve
a payload of its choosing. On dev, #1202 (on top of
#1200) replaces it with a version that keeps only verified coinbases,
under the same names and return types.
Platform v5.0's wallet reads the payload version to tell whether Dash
Core's V24 deployment is active (version 4 from V24), so it builds the
ProUpServTx version Core accepts for an evonode.
The payload is kept in memory only: serde skips it and the engine's
bincode Encode/Decode are hand-written with the derived layout minus the
field, so persisted engines decode unchanged. Breaking: the field is pub,
so struct literals and patterns listing every field must add it.
When this branch is reconciled with dev, drop this change rather than
port it; see the PR description for the conflict resolutions.
