[Package Path] winget list --details

We've had some initial discussions regarding the best way to show the path to an installed "package".

Related to:

• Display the path to an installed package #2298

The thought process has been to avoid hitting the remote index to fetch manifests, and just limit this to information on the device.

The output would likely look somewhat similar to winget show in that several details are displayed for the instance of an installed "package".

Fields might include:

• Name
• Identifier
• Source(s)
• Path
• Scope
• Locale
• Architecture

winget list is an enumerated list of packages installed on the machine, it is not appropriate to put the installed path here, your table width would be too wide for most ultrawide screens.
In my opinion, it logically belongs to winget show, as this shows details of a selected package, if you must, add it inside a winget show --local flag.

It will be available starting in build v1.28.110. That should be in public preview in two weeks.
