Bibliography by chapter

Description

Hi, I am creating a book project in Quarto. I see that I can only add end references. But, I would like the references to be per chapter. is this possible? Thank you.

Thank you for your guidance @mcanouil . I have already updated and fixed the directory name.
If I use different .bib files, one for each chapter, should it work? https://github.com/PaideiaPublishingServices/Paideia-Editorial/tree/main/editar-publicar-financiar-ciencia-america-latina/references

And in each chapter YML call the specific file, for example: bibliography: references/index.bib

@Ppantaleo did using different .bib files for each chapter work for you in the end? I'm having a similar issue using typst pdf as my export format, I tried using the section-bibliographies filter we no success either.

I believe this to be a Typst limitation that might no longer exist in 0.15 which added multiple bibliographies support.

That's really interesting, does anyone have an example of it's implementation via quarto? It's a super important feature for those doing a thesis style document to have and would be well worth writing up and adding to the docs so it's somewhere easy to find.

I'm going to play around again this evening and see if I can get it working but I haven't had much luck so far, I'll post an update should I figure it out.

Typst 0.15 is not part of Quarto/Pandoc as it was released few days ago.
Also, Typst book support is pretty new (1.9), so there are a lot to be done in this regard (in addition to many other things in Quarto).

Caution

You could use QUARTO_TYPST environment variable to test Typst 0.15 features, but be aware that this is an internal variable dedicated to development purpose, as Typst 0.15 can break many other Typst related things in Quarto/Pandoc. So, use with caution and DO NOT set it permanently.
At this stage, no support can be provided if you experiment with Typst 0.15.
