Goal
Improve the overall UX of the azd Power BI dashboards by making charts and diagrams easier to read and more visually engaging.
Problem
Existing Power BI dashboards (e.g. for telemetry/usage reporting) are functional but not very visual: many charts default to basic tables or plain line/bar charts, which makes it harder to quickly spot trends, outliers, and cohort differences. This slows down analysis and makes it harder to share insights with a broader audience.
Proposal
- Review current dashboard pages and identify charts/tables that could be replaced with more visual representations (e.g. trend sparklines, KPI cards, heat maps, funnel/cohort visuals).
- Apply consistent theming, color coding, and layout across dashboard pages.
- Improve labeling, tooltips, and drill-down interactions so charts are self-explanatory.
- Validate changes with stakeholders consuming the dashboards today.
Notes
Part of the azd telemetry redesign epic. Builds on the dashboard work tracked in #9392, #9393, and #9395.
