Esc quits app.py, but captcha.service has Restart=always, so the kiosk respawns five seconds later and there is no obvious way back to a console on site. Document stopping the unit rather than the process: the ethernet route, the Ctrl+Alt+F2 restart-gap trick under kmsdrm, and the cmdline.txt systemd.mask fallback — plus stop vs. disable, joining wifi with nmtui/nmcli, and the update loop.
