Summary

  • install the latest public .NET 11 preview SDK in AppVeyor
  • keep the SDK list aligned with the solution's existing net8.0 through net11.0 targets

Why

AppVeyor currently installs only .NET 8, 9, and 10. Its PR build therefore stops during dotnet restore with NETSDK1045 as soon as it encounters the existing net11.0 targets. No project code is compiled and no tests run. This was observed on PR #245 and also affects the current develop configuration.

Verification

  • appveyor.yml parses successfully
  • the official 11.0 channel resolves to the current public .NET 11 release candidate
  • full Release solution build: 0 warnings, 0 errors

This is a CI-only change; no product code, target frameworks, tests, or release settings are changed.

Thanks for tracking this down, @crazysmile-PhD! Since the net11.0 target was added, AppVeyor had been failing at restore without building or testing anything. Adding the .NET 11 preview SDK fixes that and brings it in line with the GitHub Actions workflows.

Merged into develop. I also changed the Branch: line in PLAN.md back to develop in a follow-up commit, since the branch name went stale once it was merged. Appreciate the contribution! 🙌
