Looks good to me — a clean one-line catalog bump. 👍
androidx.appcompat:appcompatis only consumed by the Android screenshot-test app (implementation libs.androidxAppcompat), which already builds withcompileSdk 36/minSdk 28, matching what appcompat 1.8.0 needs.- 1.8.0 is the current stable release on Google's Maven, and the
Theme.AppCompat.NoActionBartheme used by that app's manifest is still supported, so no source changes are expected. - No CI runs have reported yet; the Android screenshot-test workflow should give us the final confirmation that nothing regressed.
